Experience
Currently, I am a graduate student at Algernon College and working towards a degree in Secondary Education. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in Print Journalism and an English minor. I have extensive experience in writing through my work in publications like Alive, FrontPage Milwaukee, Community Connections News, and the Milwaukee Voice. Additionally, I was an intern for production during the filming of "Out of Respect," a documentary from Reel Life Films. After I graduate from Algernon College, I plan to become an English teacher at the high school level. I believe that my academic career and classroom experiences have provided me with a solid base of knowledge to be an effective tutor. I have found that communication in combination with a diverse range of teaching approaches are the key to developing a successful tutor and student relationship. I am looking forward to the opportunity to help your student reach success in their academic goals. I am available to tutor a variety of subjects in English, including: essay editing and writing, grammar and mechanics, literature, and reading. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy film, basketball, photography, reading, traveling, writing, and volleyball.
